Our Verdict

The SavorOne card is a great no annual fee, high earning cash back credit card for those with a credit score in the excellent range. Best Suited for:

Always-on-the-road

Travel is your middle name. When you aren’t taking advantage of transit for your daily commute in the form of cabs, rideshares and trains, you are looking for a weekend escape. And if there is an opportunity to go somewhere, you take it. You are into earning miles, getting hotel upgrades, eating out and making sure your car is always fueled.

Group-11597-2

Foodie

If there is a new restaurant opening, you are there. You are all about the latest food fusion trend no one has heard of and putting it on the map. You love finding the best new restaurant but also like to go to your old standbys and earning cash back for all. And when you aren’t finding the best new restaurant, you are experimenting with recipes at home, so you also need a good card for reaping the rewards of grocery shopping.

Group-11597-2

Social butterfly

You are a person of the people and love to hang out with your friends whether it is a beautiful meal out, attending a sporting event or rocking out at a live concert. If something fun is happening, you want to be there and get rewarded for it.

Group-11597-2

Pantry stocker

You are not happy unless you have a kitchen full of food. You are the designated grocery person in your household, and you are good at it. But what you really like is getting cash back for spending in this category.

Hidden perks

The current sign-up bonus is what sets the SavorOne Rewards card apart from the competition. By just spending $500 on the card in three months (relatively easy if used for grocery, restaurant, and entertainment purposes) you can earn an easy $200 in cash back.

Pair this card with:

Citi Double Cash

citi-Premier

An effective way to pair the SavorOne Rewards card is to look into a flat rate card that offers a higher percentage back for miscellaneous purposes. Any expenses outside the 3% categories will only earn you 1% back, so consider a card such as the Citi Double Cash credit card that will pay you 2% back on all purchases – 1% per dollar when you buy and 1% per dollar when you pay the card off.

Cashback Example

You will earn 3% on the $500 for groceries, $500 on the entertainment, and 1% on the miscellaneous expenses. This equates to $15 in cash back for the groceries, $15 in cash back for the entertainment, and $5 for the miscellaneous expenses. Overall, this adds up to $31 for the month in cash back rewards.
